Spring Hours: Wed-Fri…10-5 and Sat 10-3 or until last person leaves. We are also open by appointment – just call. My shop is at the corner of 21st Ave E. and East 5th St. I’m in the DeSmet Insurance Agency building. I have a big sign right under and on the side of the insurance sign.
May is here with a renewed hope for SPRING! All this time with no snow but too cold to golf – what a bummer… That means we all sewed some more and we used all the new fabrics coming in and have been working on those samples like mad. Right now I am putting the finishing touches on a great jelly roll quilt from Kansas Troubles. They are flower appliques and it is turning out so cute! Come in and see all of them. This is also our Birthday month – we will be starting our 14th year. More on that below.
Birthday Month – everyone commented last year about our “Birthday Certificates” and how much they liked them so we decided to do it again this year. When you come in to shop during May we will give you a $10 Birthday Certificate (only 1 per day) that you can use in June, July, or August. It will be worth $10 off of any $20 or more purchase. Only 1 certificate can be used on a regular priced purchase and can only use 1 certificate a day.
Bag It – for the Ladies -we have 76 bags turned in so far….our goal is 100 to 150. CASDA can use 100 and the other 50 we would like to donate to Homeless Agencies. About ½ of the women who signed up to do it have turned them in – the rest need to get their bags in by May 14th. I’m trying to get some pictures up on Face book so you can see all of them and how lovely they are. Everyone has filled them with wonderful items these women need. Some have done 14, 12, 6, 4, bags which has just knocked my socks off! How generous you are! It is not too late to get the free pattern from us and made 1 or 2 of these and if you don’t have time to fill them, just bring to us as we have extra things here to fill the bags with. Your name gets put in our bag (1 entry for each bag donated) for a big gift certificate and a lot of extra prizes plus your name goes on our Thank You door. We will also be putting a tag on the bags that says “Things may be tough now…..but you are Tougher! We will sign each tag with the first name and last name initial on each bag. Come On and Set a Record…..for the Ladies!
Row by Row 2016 -join in the fun as we do our 2nd year of Row by Row. It begins June 21 and runs through day after Labor Day. The theme this year is Home Sweet Home. We have our row done and it will be up on the board in June advertising the Row by Row. In June newsletter I will explain Row by Row to you and it is done in every state and all provinces in Canada. The pattern is free and we will have kits if you want to make the basic row just like ours and will be very inexpensive – under $10.
New Day Added –starting in June we will now be open on Tuesdays in addition to our regular hours. We will be open Tues – Thurs from 10 – 5; Fridays from 10-4; and Saturday 10-3. This will be until Labor Day….then we will take a look and see if we keep it that way for the fall.
