September – fall is on its way and so are the thoughts of holidays. Have we got a great month for you! I hope you got a chance to drop in last week for the “Winter Reveal” and sign up for prizes and eat Christmas cookies I made. The winner of prizes were Jeanette B. and Wendy H. They already collected them too. We still have everything up for winter and holidays with most of it in the room where we had all the kids stuff. Grandparents – you must make on of our cute bags for Halloween. Some have even done a pillow case so it can be used 2 ways.
A New Quilt A Week –We will have a new quilt with companion kit each Tuesday in Sept (except for the Sept 17 demo which will show it ahead of time). There will be 3 kids quilts and 1 adult kit. The first one is a kids quilt and will be up Sept 6th and it is a cutie!! What other shop can put up a new quilt each week with kits????? Come and see them
Saturday Demos – starting Sept 10th (Sat) at 11:00 we will be doing demos of fun things. These are primarily for the new quilters or sewers who want to do some quick, easy and fun things. But if you haven’t seen these done, anyone can come and see it. PLEASE call the shop and tell us that you are coming so I have enough free patterns for everyone. If no one calls by the Friday before, then I won’t show up either….. Here is schedule: Sept 10 – Small Treat Bags that you make from 2 fat quarters and turn them into 4 small bags. Sept 17 – “5 Yard Quilt” pattern that only has 2 blocks and I will show you how to do the 2 blocks and how to pick out 5 – 1 yd pieces for a quilt. We will also introduce our new “Quilt of the Week” to you a few days early. Sept 24 –Highlight our infinity scarf with new cuddle fabric and various size scarfs. Great Gifts.
TOWN SQUARE QUILT by Moda. We have this quilt in boxes, but I know many would like to see it made up so we are working on it right now and hope to have it up by Sept 15. I will send out an e-mail when it goes up. The kits are all ready……
Sew September –this month is the month to sew all over the country! Babylock has some specials on their A-line machines, Imagine Serger and Crescendo. I also have some more specials on other machines too. If you buy one of our A-line demo machines at the sale price, I will also throw in a $20 gift certificate to use at our shop – (only exception is the 9-stitch machine).
