Raggy Gray is a great quilt for a beginner as you do one square at a time. It is also layered and quilted at the same time so you are not working with large pieces. The quilt is very forgiving because you will sew the large seams so they are to the outside and then you end up snipping the seams into small strips that fray when they are washed….and the more they are washed the softer they get. I used woven fabric for this so the strips also curl nicely. The kit includes 8 – ½ yds that will be cut into 9” strips and recut into 9” squares for make the squares. Batting will go between and will be the middle of the quilt sandwich. Kit also includes pattern (there is no binding required in this quilt) at $48.00.
